The Revlon Perfect Heat curling iron doesn’t have much in the way of frills, but it does deliver safe, consistent heat with a minimal cooling amount of time amid uses. Ideal for creating extra-large curls and volume, the 1-1/2-inch barrel on this iron has a clamp with a wide, conveniently snug thumb lever and a stay-cool tip for extra control for the duration of styling. In addition to the 60-second heating time, the iron includes an automatic shutoff, a power indicator light, and a built-in prop to keep the barrel off the bathroom counter. The stand is more or less shorter than on most irons and the cord doesn’t swivel, but the barrel is so maneuverable that these minor drawbacks aren’t much of a problem. Wonderful styling tool!!

I recently purchased this curling iron at a mega-discount store while shopping for groceries. It was an impulse purchase. My usual pattern is to first check out reviews before I buy many new items. In that particular case, I am very, very glad that I did not check out the reviews first, because they would have prevented me from making this purchase! I’ll never understand all the negative reviews here. Perhaps Revlon has updated this curling iron, and worked out all the bugs that reviewers are talking about.

However, my experience is that this is a great product. First of all, it heats up immediately. It has a GREAT hold on the hair, so that it does not slip out of the iron as you work with it. That is a huge bonus for me. It helped me do my hair in half the time.

If I am not doing anything special, I look for the easiest ways to do my hair without finishing up looking unkempt. With the Revlon Perfect Heat Professional Styling Iron, I was able to fluff-dry my hair (without the pulling of a styling brush) and finish off by taking several sections with the iron, letting them cool, and PRESTO — my hair was done. I used a head band, back-combed the crown a bit and my hair fell into jumbo curls and waves without a too-poofy look.

You can’t ask for better than this.

BURNT HAIR

The lower heat settings were always too hot. After a couple unpleasant weeks of using this product my hair actually was singed to the point where a clump came off. This happened on the LOW setting! Needless to say i have returned this product.

Poorly Designed

This is a very poorly designed curling iron. The temperature selection dial is right underneath where your hand goes when opening and closing the iron. A very light touch of the palm causes the temperature dial to spin freely from right to left as you curl and uncurl it around your hair. I never know what temperature setting it’s on by the time I’m done. No wonder other reviewers are burning their hair. Also, the cord bends downward from the base of the curling iron, causing it to hit the counter when resting and tipping off it’s tiny and useless stand. Revlon clearly didn’t put much thought into this product. It’s very annoying considering you really don’t know these drawbacks because it’s sold shrink wrapped in hard plastic. Don’t get this. You’ll just be annoyed with it.

Excellent product for very thick hair

I’ve read all the reviews, good and bad, for B’Leave In. Actually, all of them are correct. When I first tried the product, I hated it. It didn’t seem to do a thing for my hair, and my hair felt dry and dirty. I then read the book written by the line’s creator (very good, by the way), and realized I hadn’t been using it correctly.

You need to use a LOT of this product, and you need to use it on wet (not damp) hair. You apply at least a quarter-sized glob to the underside of the hair at the back of your head. Then do the same for the outerside of the back, the sides, and the front/top. Those amounts are approximate based on my short, very thick, very dry hair.

Once I started using the correct amount, the improvement in my hair was dramatic. It took care of my intense frizz, while leaving the curl looking beautiful.

With all products for curly hair, you need to experiment to find the ones that work best for you. All I can say is that I love B’Leave In, and love what it does for my very thick, very coarse hair.

Love it….now

I recently got the “big chop” on my mid-waist naturally kinky dry hair. I have been using Devacurl NoPoo and Devacurl One-condition for almost a year and I love both. I tried Deva ArcAngel when my hair was long and I hated it so much I gave the whole bottle to my daughter. Last week my stylist(thanks Evan), cut my hair very short using the Deva method. After cutting he washed and conditioned with deva and then he applied B’Leave- in and ArcAngel. Dried under a hood dryer and then flipped my head over and ran his fingers through my roots breaking apart the curls. It was beautiful. I bought a bottle of ArcAngel from him and B’Leave-in online. I was scared to death that my hair wouldn’t turn out like at the salon. I was wrong! My hair is beautiful. I am finally happy with my hair. It looks in such good shape and is shiny. I use a diffuser and never use a comb or brush. I know I’ve spent $1000.00 on products over the years and have NEVER achieved the results I’ve wanted. I have now. Just remember to used on WET hair. Before I get out of the shower I rewet my hair and apply B’Leave and ArcAngel. I then use a microfiber cloth and lay it over my head and press down just enough to remove drips. I then use my fingers and place the curls where I want them. Diffuse then ruffle dry hair with fingers. I continually get compliments on my hair. Love this stuff!!

Best product I’ve found for my curly hair

This is the only leave-in conditioner that I use on my hair. I have tried many brands and paid a lot of money for the really expensive varieties only to be disappointed and out of money. Deva Curl products are the only products that work for my hair leaving curls defined and soft. Plus, it’s one of the lesser expensive but high end hair product I’ve found and have been so satisfied with. I also recommend the conditioning cleanser and the conditioner. So far, the prices I’ve found on Amazon.com for the larger version of this product is better than the beauty supply stores and salons I go to purchase this product.

The best !!! but getting so hard to find !!

I have been using this gel for 7-8 years and also FX Root Lifter, and these are really the best gels ever, as other reviews have said. I have fine, wavy hair that tends to be either “flyaway” or limp. Other products either (1) build up like glue, (2) make my hair instantly oily, or (3) are useless, do nothing after about 1 hr. I used to be able to find the FX products anywhere in Chicago, but Osco and CVS stopped carrying it. Now the last few weeks it looks like Walgreen’s doesn’t carry it either. So after a month of buying, trying, and throwing out other gels that don’t work, I’m shopping online for FX. Hopefully, they will never stop making this! There’s just no substitute.

Amazing product

I have really terrible hair. I mean REALLY terrible hair. I have thin, coarse hair that is very dry and likes to pouf out at the slightest sign of humidity. This shampoo plus Instant Moisture Daily Treatment make my hair look and feel amazing. I’ve completely stopped flat ironing and use very little in the way of styling products, and it looks fantastic. It sounds ridiculous to say shampoo/conditioner changed your life, but finally having wash and go hair is amazing! I don’t have to plan in a crazy amount of time after a workout anymore and it has shortened my morning routine considerably.

Pre de Provence Verbena Soap

I never thought there would be differences in soaps, but there are. Ever since I’ve tried Pre de Provence, I cannot even imagine to ever go back again to use any other soap (bar or liquid) but this brand. The Verbena one has a subtle fragrance that I love (citrus like). It lathers well, leaves skin so soft, and it lasts more than regular soaps. One would only has o try it to believe what a great soap this is.

Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey Florale is an alluring feminine floral, light and fresh – yet modern and totally gorgeous. Appropriate for the office as well as more intimate occasions this has staying power; what a true Eau De Toilette should be… perfume quality without being overwhelming. Expensive, yes. However, it is a high end designer fragrance from France.

FYI: Buyers beware of copies. What you need to know before ordering:
SIZE: Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey fragrance sprays are offered in 2 sizes only. 1.6 oz. and 3.0. oz., minus the mini samples.
PRICE: Average is about $69.99 for 1.6 oz. and upwards of $89.99 for 3.0 oz. Question the price if it seems too good to be true. Issey Miyake is usually sold at finer retailers and beauty emporiums such as Ulta and Sephora.
COPY OR NOT? L’eau D’issey authentic fragrances are offered as an Eau De Toilette, NOT in an Eau de Parfum version. If you must order online, ensure that the seller is well known and reputable. Take a very observant look at the box as well. If it is imprinted with “Eau De Parfum”, or anything else that doesn’t appear genuine it’s definitely a knock off.

Love the scent, just bought the eau de toilette. Woud have given it 5 stars but heavy on the alcohol so burns a bit going on. And scent doesn’t stay as long as cologne or perfume; pretty expensive forwhatyou get!

Amazing!

I love the smell of flowers so this is fresh flowers in a bottle! I originally sampled this from Sephora and fell instantly in love. I would recommend this for special occasions. A pleasent surprise to the nose. Not too strong and a little bit goes a long way. I think if this came as a body oil it would be more effective instead a spray.
